provider production
provider production
Is there any way, the associate production can be calculated based on the percentage and the amounts can be assigned depends on the procedure,, I mean, x rays are not usually not goes into associate production , and also the actual production can be based on the actual collection fee , not based on the billed amount

Re: provider production
If you set xrays as a hygiene procedure, then they will automatically be assigned to the hygienists. There's also a feature request for always assigning the same provider to certain procedures.
I would not recommend trying to pay on collections (we call it income), because it requires very careful splitting of patient payments. To make matters worse, after the insurance payment comes in and is split differently than you expected, the patient payment splits that you carefully made would frequently have to be reallocated. We don't have automation for reallocation of those patient payment splits. So please save yourself the headache and stick to paying on production. Although now that I read your last sentence again, I might have misunderstood what you meant. If so, can you clarify?

Thanks for the reply
My Main concern is i have associates , and they are paid as 30% of the production and some managed care (capitation)plans . Traditional plans are paid at 30% of production , so for example my UCR fee for exam is 75$ and we will bill for 75$, but actually if we get paid 40$ for the same, then my associate production should be 40$ gross and the net should be 30% of 40$ , which is 12$,, So is there a any way , the system can set, this particular associate is 30% and then i have Specialist at 42%, and can i set , their production at their %.
2.For capitation plans, we pay a flat fee say 30$ for each visit, how can the system can calculate the associate allotment for that particular visit

Re: provider production
1. You would figure out the percentages yourself, outside of Open Dental. You would base the percentages on production minus insurance writeoffs.
2. You would have to create a query to figure out the number of visits, probably based on appointments assigned to that provider. Then, pay off that number.
