Appointment Schedule Colors
Appointment Schedule Colors
Hi, I'm trying to change the background colors of our appointment schedule; now it is royal blue and the schedule is hard to read when printed out. I just cannot figure out how to alter the colors.

Well, almost there.
I went to Definitions>Appointment colors.
Clicked on the background I wanted to change.
It changed on the Appointment Color screen.
So far so good.
But, when I click OK>Close, the appointment background doesn't change!
What else do I need to do?
Thanks!

It thinks your office is closed!!!!!!
You need to set up your office schedule.
To fix this is tedious, but it will solve your problem.
First, you need to set up your "providers". Make sure your hygienist is a provider not an employee. Then set up your employees. Both of these are found under LIST.
Once you do that, you can set up your schedule, SETUP/SCHEDULES.
The easiest way to do this is to set up a typical week on the first line.
Once you complete the first week, choose COPY WEEK on the lower left,
then place a check in REPLACE EXISTING.
In the # box put in the number 51.
Select REPEAT.
You should now have a one year schedule.
Your appointment screen should now show the blue only during "closed" hours.
Go back to the schedule change area and correct for holidays and vacation closures individually.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!

Savvy...
Thanks for your reply.
My schedule is totally set up. We've been using OD for several months now. The schedule is in good shape. I only want to change the background color of the appointments on the schedule.
And I just cannot get it done...
Hmmmmm...
Listen, I hate to quit bugging you.
You've been great.
I probably should have a call placed to OD support.
Thanks, Savvy!

I think the background of the appointment is setup in the provider section. Each provider can have a background color for their appointments so that it is easy to see who the appointment is scheduled with when you look at the schedule.
List:Providers
Double Click a Provider:
Apointment Background Color is one of the options to setup.
