Dear Open Dental API Team,
I’m encountering an issue while attempting to create a claim with the claim type Other. The API returns a Bad Request error with the following message: "ClaimType may only be set to 'P', 'S', or 'PreAuth'."
https://www.opendental.com/site/apiclaims.html
Would it be possible to update the API to support claims with the Other claim type? Please let me know if any additional information is needed.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

I have added looking into enhancing claims to support ClaimType Other, to the API development list.
Thanks!

Hello Justine
Thank you for considering this request. I have one more question: Will we support medical claims as well, or only Other claim types?

Claims can be very complex. It is pretty rare to use 'Other' (3 or more dental insurance plans) or 'Medical' (oral surgery or hospital) claim types. Are you asking out of curiosity, or do you have an API use case?
Thanks!
