Billing Prov NPI must be a 10 digital number error

Hi

I am trying to setup iTran for a friend and get this error. Is this error related to regional settin g?

error message

Cannot send claim until missing data is fixed
Billing Prov NPI must be a 10 digital number with an optional prefix of 80840, Treating Prov NPI must be a 10 digit number with an optional prefix of 80840, Carrier Zip, Patient Zip

No, it means that the clearinghouse is set to an electronic X12 format instead of the Canadian format. Just change the "Format" drop down for the corresponding clearinghouse.

The format is Canadian. I have click Dental default and the problem went away

I'm running into this error with the compiled code when testing eligibility. Why does changing the format affect whether the NPI value is used? I tried changing the format to x12 for 5010 and 4010, creating a new provider and hiding the old one, changing the number of values in the NPI box, but that didn't work.

Cause certain formats require certain things. Not all formats have the same requirements.
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
