What are you using now? We've been very impressed with Lighthouse 360, but here's a list on the Open Dental website that lists several others.

If you want to get other people's opinion on most of these, cruise on over to the Dentaltown site.

Best of luck!!!

Take a look at AppointMaster. They work fine with Open Dental

Take a look at Total Recall Solutions. http://www.totalrecallsolutions.com
Ask them to show you a demo. It has some nice advantages over all the other programs.
They can compare them for you.

Here are just a few features that separate them from the other systems on the market:

• 2 way texting- No other system on the market allows a patient to text back and you can have a complete conversation with the patient without going into your office email system.
• Multiple Language options- ability to customize the language that EACH patients receives their correspondence in.
• Recall Wizard- works exactly like the wizard in OD, except you have multiple attractive email & sms templates to choose from.
• On-line scheduler-for patients to book Real-Time appointments (ideal for hygiene recall appts)
• Automated patient care messages- Pre- op, Post- op emails and text based on specific procedure types, Thank you messages to all new patients etc.
• Ability to contact patients based on procedure or provider.
• Marketing
• Dozens of e-mail and sms templates to choose from.

I found them a few months ago and have been very impressed. I even made a few suggestions and they implemented them immediately.

We use Lighthouse 360 and absolutely love it. We were with Smile Reminder / SolutionReach, but had some problems with it. The support at Lighthouse is phenomenal and our patients love it!

A long-time patient was in yesterday and said she loves the new system. She received a recare reminder and within a couple of minutes she booked her own appointment online. Very convenient. Solves the problem of a patient reading a recare reminder, putting it aside to call the office later to schedule an appt, and then forgetting about it.

Ok I just saw a demo from total recall... I hope nathan or jordan will read this PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS AS A FULL INTEGRATION INTO OD not a third party vendor. its much more impressive and it adds features that people have been requesting for quite some time.! is this something we put on the request list for integration?

I am looking into bringing one of these systems into our office. I have meet with Smile reminder and have some friends that use Lighthouse 360. I have only heard about total recall solutions. From others experience what one works the best with open dental. I understand that they are all 3rd party but does one work better than another? Pros/cons?

Can't comment on the other programs. I've been very happy with TRS. My staff loves it. It's very easy to use.
Patients like it too.
