I didn't see G5 on our list of known conversions: http://opendentalsoft.com:1942/Conversi ... nList.aspx
I'm a little nervous when I hear the words encrypted. However, you should send our conversion team an email or give them a call. They might be able to take a look and give you a more educated answer after asking you a few questions.

No biggie...just wondering because we upgraded Dentrix to G5, but I've always considered moving to Open Dental.

Apparently G5 is Dentrix 15 which we do convert from. However, you would need to get the "un-encrypted" database files before we could do the conversion.

Dentrix can perform the decryption for you, and if that ever changes we will attempt to provide an Open Dental internal solution.
