Directx behavior - verry interesting

Post by Rickliftig » Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:59 pm

Jordan - I had left Open Dental 7.0 open on my 'development computer' (running windows 7.0) and when I looked back about an hour and a half later, there were some funky directx errors. The cancel, continue box from OD was on the screen and there was an error message on the lower right (from windows 7.0) telling me that there was a directx error in one of the running programs. Now here's what was running: a video recorder application.

I will try to recreate the error, but am wondering if this may be the key to some of the strange directx behavior. IOW, could another program be switching directx behaviors and crashing Open Dental?

I should add, that when I closed the program (the video recorder) and went to the graphics menu, directx came up right away in setting #1.

Just a thought.
