some patients can not be searched by last name.

Some patients can not be searched by last name. By entering first name, I was able to find them... but there are some pts that I can not locate either way even though they surely do exist in the database. How can I handle this issue?

Do you accidently have a space before the beginning of the last name? I believe that is the only way you would be having trouble with it.

It may be that the patients were labeled as archived. So they won't show unless you check the box that says show archived.
