I have updated to 6.1.11. I am trying to use the new feature that keeps track of how long the patient is sitting in the reception room but I have having problems. The computer is sometimes marking the patient as arrived when you schedule the patient or sometimes just click on the appointment. Next week I have had around 20 patients already arrived for their appointments. Talk about being early for an appointment. I watched the front desk schedule a patient for an appointment and as soon as she moved the appointment from the pinboard it started the countdown for waiting. The funny thing is that the appointment indicator still showed the patient as unconfirmed but when I open the appointment window there is a start time in the appointment arrived area. Have I set something up wrong? if so why does it work for around 90% of the patients?


I would like to ask if I can add something to the request list.
I would like to be able to treatment plan a patient and then select which doctor I want to do the procedure and then the program would change the fee to the fee schedule assigned to that provider. We have an endodontist in our office and she obviously has a different fee schedule than mine. If I treatment plan a patient for a RCT it would be nice if I can change the treatment plan line for the RCT to her as provider and the fee then is adjusted to her fees. That way when I print out the treatment plan it would show the patient the correct fees for all the procedures they need. We also have an oral surgeon and periodontist that comes to our office occasionally. We can not send our patients to their offices because they are chinese and their offices are all in chinese so our patients would have a hard time communicating so we have the specialist come to our office and treat the patient and our nurses and staff are bilingual so there is no comunication problems. So if i have a patient that needs to see the endo, oral surg, and periodontist the treatment plan becomes a big headache as they all have different fee schedules. If you are ok with this enhancement I can add it to the request list.

The automation is based on the three triggers in the module setup window. Look more closely at your triggers and compare them with the appointment statuses in question.

Your request sounds reasonable.

i am still having problems with the new feature of tracking how long the patient is sitting in the waiting room. I have set the three triggers in the module section of the program. The feature works for most of my patients but I am having a problems with a few of the patients. Some of the patient's appointments are randomly starting counting down. When I go into the appointment screen there is an arrived time entered but the indicator on the upper right corner of the appointment on the scheduler shows that the appointment is confirmed but not arrived. I can delete the arrived time and the appointment is removed from the time counter. I dont know what is setting the arrival time when the appointment is not set arrived.

The second problem: Some times when I try to delete the arrived time and then leave the appointment screen the time resets on the arrived line and the counter continues to count time. I have tried to set the appointment as "seated" to remove it off the counter but it remains. Nothing I have tried removed this patient from the time counter.

I take it that I am the only one having problems with this function. Most of my patients for the month of december are now checked in. The computer is automatically giving them an arrived time. I am concerned because when I go back in the past the computer is still counting down those patients time. I am concerned this will slow down my computer.
