For some proceedures, in particular botox and fillers, I really need to follow these patients up in two weeks time.
Unfortunately, sometimes they cant make an appointment, and they get lost in the system
How am I best to do this, so I can have them all on a list, and then when they return, delete them?
I was thinking of making a LAB SHEET that included botox, and then could treat them like this
Is this a good idea? Or is there something better?
2 week follow up appointments?
Re: 2 week follow up appointments?
My gut reaction is to suggest using a custom recall type. However, I'm not very good with recalls OR if this is even the best solution for what you're trying to accomplish. With that in mind, I'd strongly recommend giving us a call or waiting for a second (possibly a third) opinion on here before implementing a custom recall type.

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.

Re: 2 week follow up appointments?
I implemented a custom recall type called "Follow Up" triggered by emergency and comprehensive exams for this exact purpose. The trouble is, we get so many, they can get lost and you have to make sure someone is actually following up on them using the recall list and realise there are different types...
Re: 2 week follow up appointments?
@drtech: i think your solution should work but I dont quite understand why recalls get lost when there're so many since recall process is automatic. Can you explain?
@aussiedentist: I have add function to my plugin to send recall via SMS. It works with DirectSMS if you want to try.

Re: 2 week follow up appointments?
@mopensoft: I just mean if you don't have staff actually contacting each patient on the list regularly you can end up with so many that it is overwhelming to begin calling all of them; the common recall system problem. Of course using email is really easy or just sending postcards, but actually calling each one as I would like to be able to do can be a challenge.
