I'd like a better search from the online help menu

Post by Rickliftig » Fri May 07, 2010 9:13 am

Hi Jordan -

The present search box from the online help menu works well, but it can be difficult to find certain (specific) terms. For example, today I was searching on how to use the radiobutton feature of a form and it's nowhere on the index list. It is however referenced on the sheets page. (On a side note, I have no idea in creation on how to make it work).

thanks!

Rick

Don't forget you can always do a google search like this:
radio site:opendental.com
Curiously, the result list doesn't include the Sheets page.

As for how to do it, the sheets that are included by default already show an example. Open the RegistrationForm and look at the radio buttons for Preferred Contact Methods. I see that the background of that form is wrong. I'll be putting that on the bug list.

Perhaps the confusion is that you're trying to do it on some other form for some other purpose. But the radio buttons only work for a very few very specific fields. Not for your own fields yet.
