At the bottom of our perio page in the manual, http://opendental.com/manual/perio.html it talks about Dragon and using spell mode. This way you can say "B" for bleeding, "C" for calculus etc. I'm not familiar with being able to jump to a specific tooth other than using the mouse.

There ended up not being an issue for Open Dental to resolve. It was a fault in the most recent EPSON driver. If Windows installs it automatically you can remove it and manually install an older driver that you find on the internet or hopefully the one that comes with the CD.

Re: DON'T Show Photo On Certain Views
You can disable the popup's or have them delayed by going to Setup > Modules. This is a global setting though, I don't believe they can be disabled "per view".

Re: ResGen error
This doesn't have to do with the ResGen.exe error but I ran across this the other day and since the word ResGen was in the file section of the error, I figured it might help someone else browsing for related ResGen issues. The solution is to make sure you have all projects set to build within the so...

Re: When will someone re-appear on Recall List?
This is typically determined by settings in Setup > Recall. At the bottom of the window there is a section called "Also show in list if # of days since" which will have the patient show back up in the list after so many days have passed.

Being a minor issue, the change was only made in v12.0.13. That version has been released.

Re: My quick paste notes aren't working
There can only be one category for each category type. In other words, I have a category with a description of "Tasks & CommLogs" set to type Commlog. Then I create another category named something else and set it to type CommLog as well, whichever category is first in the list will be the one my qu...

Dr. Pruce,
Updating to v12.0.9 should help, it contains the fix "When signing treatment plan, the graphical tooth chart looked different than the chart module sometimes."

Re: New user having install problems on XP
I've seen this a time or two before but only with computers that have cannon printers... You should uninstall the current installation of MySQL and then do these steps to correctly install MySQL: 1. Launch the Open Dental Installer 2. Click the Update MySQL button at the top. 3. Copy the MySQL Serve...

Adding to the bugs list. In the mean time, you can leave the Proc Notes box checked and the filtering should work until the fix gets released.

Re: Tabbing through the Payment Screen
Added as a bug: "Payment window tabbing order was incorrect." It will be fixed with the release of v11.1.19 and v12.0.3.
The fixed order will start at the Amount box, go down to the Note section then back up to Payment Date.

Re: Payments after payment plans paid off
Correct, when the Balance column shows $0 a new payment should no longer check that check box by default. Does the patient have multiple payment plans? Are there any splits on any of the payments? (easiest way to tell is to double click on the payment plan and see if any have "(split)" in the descri...

Re: 11.1.4alpha Database Maint Error
I went ahead and fixed the particular section of Database Maint that was failing for you. There might be more so I'm installing a Linux box to do some testing, but since you seem to be compiling feel free to do an svn update and recompile (11.1.5 alpha) and hopefully that was the only issue with DBM.

Re: Sheet Security
If the local computer date and time is correct, not 3/3/2010 for instance, then you might want to restart the MySQL service (or restart your server whichever you prefer) which will refresh the internal clock of MySQL to match up with the system time. When you create the new lab slip double check the...

When the lab slip is created, the date at the top right of the window that pops up is filled in with current system date and time based off of the computer. Is your computer date and time correct?

Re: Query Change?
Typically the DATE() will fix the issue, but the TIME_FORMAT is a special case.
You might want to try something like this:
SELECT CAST(TIME_FORMAT(apt.AptDateTime, '%h %i %p') AS CHAR) AS 'Time'
