Need help with queries

I'm trying to sell my practice, and the potential buyer has requested the following reports. How can I generate them ?

active pt list for 3 years
recall patients for 2 years
seperate emerg visits vs retained for 3 years
new patients for 3 years

I'm not necessarily asking for someone to write the queries for me, but at least give me some direction so I can write them myself.

OK, let me rephrase the question.

Where can I go to learn how to write queries ? I don't know anything about programming. Is there a list somewhere that will teach me the basics ?

There are some manuals you can get in a bookstore such as Border's. You can also google some websites that are helpful. The Open Dental website has hundreds of queries that you might find useful or may even edit to suit your needs. Go to the OD main page, click on the Search icon and enter Query examples. Check query #22. It will give you a count of active patients in the last two years. Just change the dates to get three years. There are others that may give more info. Some of the queries will not work because they are old and the Open Dental database has evolved, so if you find one that you think would be a good solution for you, but doesn't work, just post the query number here in this forum and some of us may be able to help.
