Sheets Creation Service

Post by galligan » Sat Jul 31, 2010 12:22 pm

Others have suggested creating a shared sheets forum to expedite fabrication...but I have another inquiry...I would like approx. 50 word and excel based forms and letters transfered to sheets and the time required to learn sheets fabrication and implimentation is daunting. Can anyone guesstimate how much time would be required to make this many sheets? Does OD offer a service to create these for our office...for a fee of course?

Thanks!

You could always generate a jpg of the file (there area a lot of free convertors on the internet) and use them as a single document or as a background where data fields can be superimposed. It's not as direct as entering in your document into a fully-editable sheet, but it works just fine.

Also, since there is no way to import or export sheets, an independent contractor would need full access to your server -oops!!

best,

Our service is described at the bottom of
http://www.opendental.com/manual/registrationforms.html
I just added a link on our fees page
http://www.opendental.com/manual/fees.html
We plan to soon allow import and export of sheets, so sharing will become easier, and design services will work better because no remote access will be required.

A jpg or gif background is nearly always the best way to design a form. That's the way it's intended to be used.

Thank you Rick and Jordan for your feedback. Rick, I'm going to try out the pdf route and see where that takes me and save up for a sheets conversion if it seems the pdf task gets to be overwhelming for the number of sheets I want.
Thanks again,
Ryan
