How to hide/delete task lists
How to hide/delete task lists
I have task lists as mailboxes for employees. After they left, I would like to delete or hide them. Is there a way to do that? Otherwise, I have to delete all the entries to be able to delete the task list. There is no way to do batch delete. I have to delete all the tasks one by one. It is very time-consuming and tedious. Thanks.

Re: How to hide/delete task lists
Just cut/paste the entire task list. As to where you paste it, create an empty task list somewhere, perhaps named Old. Then open that task list and right click in the big white space, and paste.

Why not just create an option to delete an entire task list though? Wouldn't that be easier? Once an employee is marked "Hidden," that option could then become active?

That would be a feature request.

Re: How to hide/delete task lists
Since this original post it looks like we are now able to delete tasks lists that are empty. I was however having difficulty deleting an empty task list that was attached to an employee as an inbox. When trying to delete the old inbox I kept getting the error message, "not allowed to delete the task list because it is attached to a user inbox". I finally figured out I had to set the employee's inbox to "none" prior to making the employee hidden. Just thought I would share that. Maybe we could add a section to the user manual describing the steps to take after an employees leaves the practice?

Great idea! I'll pass the idea on to our technical writer.
