colour coded appointments

Post by raymond » Thu Jan 07, 2010 4:07 am

Is it possible to colour code different types of appointments on the daylists? I'm a new user to open dental and have been using Oasis software (australian user) which has this feature. The different colours allow the user to quickly look over daylists to see what sorts of treatments are coming up.
Thanks

I was thinking about this as well. I would like to quickly glance at the schedule and know which patient is here for Operative, New Patient exam, emergency etc..
How do we vote on a topic?

Any update on this topic? Color coded appointments would make scheduling much easier for my staff.

Have you voted on it yet? If there's enough consensus that it's important, it will float to the top of the feature request system. We do realize that many other dental software products have this feature, so from a competitive standpoint, it also has some importance regardless of the feature request system. I'm sorry, but we simply don't know what order features will be completed ahead of time. The decision process is too complex.

Color Coding is a great way to organize you appointments. I would however advise placing your non-colorblind employees in charge of scheduling. Made that mistake once. Not too bad to fix, just had to move them off the dental software and put them as the reception desk assistant. :D
