Our office paid $500 to have secondary estimates programmed in version 6.8 because it was critical to us. Prior to that they had to be manually calculated or we had a negative balance on the account every time. We still see issues with secondary estimates, but it's usually after the primary has pai...

Re: Secondary eclaims
We are having a major problem with OD not estimating secondary insurance coverage correctly, and today one of my team was told by an OD supervisor that the software is not even set up to estimate secondary insurance coverage correctly? PLEASE tell me she misunderstood? To help patients during these ...

Re: The signature box at the end of a clinical note
What REALLY makes the auto notes/prompts combinations is when you have fill-ins, and you want to make sure they can do the notes and get all the details necessary. My hygienist has been out for 2 weeks with personal issues, and my assistant has been out for almost 3 weeks because of a broken ankle, ...

Re: The signature box at the end of a clinical note
OMG -- here is my only problem with Open Dental right now........THERE IS TOO MUCH FUNCTIONALITY!!!!! Of course, I am kidding, but only partly. This program is so amazingly powerful in what it allows you to customize and set up compared to anything I've ever seen before, I just don't have all ...

OK, never mind -- I just tried experimenting a bit, think I figured it out. Hopefully I just don't screw anything up.

Creating Auto Codes
I am REALLY confused :?: by how this works, so I hope someone can help. Just as there is an Auto Code for RCT/BU/PFC (I changed it to that since we rarely do PFMs), I would like to create auto codes that would allow us to click something once, then do the following: LANAP: have it automatically put ...

Re: New Webforms
Jordan, I've been a very happy user of MedicTalk Dentforms for the last couple of years; if I am understanding this correctly, however, it seems the new OD Webforms would remove the need for MedicTalk?

Re: New Open Dental Plugin Released
plugins are a system wide setting.....but, I think if you only want it on certain computers, then only copy the dll to the OD folder on those computers and the ones without the dll will gracefully ignore the setting for the plugin and work in a standard mode. I always have it on all computers thoug...

Re: New Open Dental Plugin Released
Hey -- just wondering if anyone is using this plugin? If so, how well does it work? My OM is kind of frustrated with some aspects of the current payment plan function, and we're looking for options.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Patient Pictures into system quicklyu
I know it can be done in programs like Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Apple Aperture, etc., so if there were a way to do this with OD, that would really rock! We've been considering it for quite some time. So I guess that means we need to make that a feature request? Given how many docs are now ...

Shooting tethered with DSLR into Images?
Hey, does anyone know if there is a way to connect a DSLR, such as a Canon XSi, to the PC via a USB and shoot tethered, with the images being transferred to the PC while they're being shot? Also, are there any ways to add "tags" to images, as in Lightroom, Picasa, Aperture, etc? I am really looking ...

Re: Saving auto note as file, so you can share.
Suggestion Hi Dr. Sparks A very important feature that auto notes should have, is to be able to save your notes as a file, so the Dentists could share with others. Lots of Dentists expent lot of hours developing their notes and they might want to share with others. I saw this feature in Easy Notes ...

While I am not a beta user (too new to dive in that much, although eventually I probably will), I just want to say THANK YOU also for the fabulous tech support you provide. You guys/gals know your stuff and work on whatever the problem is until it's fixed properly, unlike the "biggies." I had Eagles...

OD and DemandForce?
We were using DemandForce for our reminders (email and text) when we were with Eaglesoft. Can OD and DF work together? Whom do i need to call if they do? If they don't, whom else could I use for something similar?
