Re: Extracting data from OpenDental server via API
I want to be sure to address this in both places you asked. Our FHIR API does not handle insurance or benefits at this time. However, the new internal API we are creating will and I will update you when that is live. Sorry.

Re: Insurance plan benefit
Our FHIR API does not allow for this functionality at present. However, we are working to release a new internal API that will. I will update this post the moment it is ready for public use.

Re: API to update appointment status
Your request looks good to me. When I test this on my side, I return both operatories. This makes me curious if there is a schedule for the other locations in your request for the given day? or that maybe those operatories do not have providers? It's hard to say without seeing your set up but I can ...

Re: Fetching appointments via API causing timeouts
We actively limit the results if they will take too long to retrieve. If you have a large number of appointments, we will time out instead of return them all. It is recommended that you limit them by some form of criteria and get them in batches based on those criteria instead.

Re: The office's eConnector is not running?
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. I can offer a few things you can try and then see if any of them help with your issue. - Update both the eConnector and FHIR to the latest stable version (if they are not already) - Verify you have the right credentials and that they are not pointing to an ol...

Actually, another consideration would be if you have a schedule for the provider in that operatory.

Re: Creating an Appointment through API call
Looking at the structure of our API, the requirements to get slots back requires: Valid Provider Valid Operatory (to which Provider is assigned) Appointments in Status: Complete, Scheduled or Broken That said, the is a known issue where multiple slots cannot be searched for in the same query. That i...

Poonam,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I have investigate this and you are correct, presently we only return the slots for 1 schedule. I will be creating a fix for this and will update this thread the moment it is live.

Re: Where do I find my developer key?
If you log into the FHIR Portal, then click on your developer tag, the listed "API Key" under your name is what you would place in the Developer Key portion. If this doesn't help, please let me know and I'll be happy to assist further.
