Address & Phone number Customization

Is it possible to customize how Open Dental handles addresses and phone numbers? My practice is in a Caribbean island, we just need to enter Address, Address2, City, not 'State'. When we print 'Recall' labels, the City line prints with a comma at the end, but we have nothing else, so it looks slightly strange.

Can it be customized to print the comma only if there is a State to be appended? (The 'State' field is not blank)

We also have perhaps less than 20 patients from another country, so a 'Country' field might be useful.

We are gettting closer to allowing total customization of any printing. We have a roadmap for this, but it's impossible to say how long it will actually take. We might end up hard coding this variation in instead.

As a minor addition, in our practice most of our patients are in the same area code, so I prefer to type in the phone numbers with 7 digits, but OD still formats them like 10 digit numbers (i.e. (123)456-7 instead of 123-4567). It would be nice if it would recognize 7 digit numbers. Minor issue, though, no rush.

I can still paste numbers into the field, preserving the correct formatting.

I think the last time this was discussed, we did not have sheets to customize labels. Now that you can customize your label, isn't there a tweak you can do? Maybe separate the City and State apart a little more and forget about the comma?
