To store documents related to a patient, two features would be nice: 1, support for multipage TIFF files (my faxes come in this format, but only the first page shows up in OD). 2, support for PDF files (it imports them now, and copies them to the right directory, but gives an error when you try to access it. Simply launching the file in a PDF reader program would be just fine, no need for any embedding, unless you really want to).

Actually, both these problems could be more-or-less solved with a "launch in external program" button.

Maybe you don't have any PDF viewer installed on that computer. PDFs do indeed launch with a double click.
