i am using win xp for opendental (foreign version). i want to shift the data to a another laptop (win 8 single language- 64 bit, 3rd gen i5 processor). what would be the most apt procedure to shift it.
i had tried restoring the data in a trial version on new machine, but a lot of tables are been showed missing.
any help, welcome.

You can probably just follow the steps on this page under the section labeled "Manual Restore". http://opendental.com/manual/backups.html
If that doesn't work, I might need to know what version you're coming from. Mainly to make sure it is a version older than the trial version.
