Hello,

I have one Patient record which has been giving me trouble for a while. I am sure there is some kind of a data corruption issue here.

The issue is that the Patient Account (in the Account module middle portion) shows zero balance but the 'Select Patient' window shows a negative balance.

I tried running the 'Database Maintenance' routine in opendental but it does not seem to fix the issue. Does anyone of a Query on how the 'Account balance' is calculated in the 'Select Patient', That will help me narrow down to the corrupted data row.

It's far too complicated to explain on a forum. We have a very standard routine for handling this issue:
1. Make sure user is on a recent version. (you didn't say what version you use).
2. See if the db maint tool fixes it.
3. Get a copy of their database.
4. Add a routine to the Database Maintenance logic to handle the issue.
5. Have the user upgrade to make use of the new logic.

Note that this fixes the issue for all users. We never ever muck around in individual databases without implementing the solution as a fix for everyone. It would be a huge waste of time.
