MS Outlook integration

I know OD has its own in-built mailer. Is there a way to instead launch MS Outlook and populate the To: field with the patient's email address when the Send button is pressed in OD?

You could add that as a feature request, and it wouldn't be too hard for us to do.

Thanks for the response. Ok, will do asap. Just to be broader in scope you can consider launching any email client, say Thunderbird. My own interest is in Outlook because of a plugin we are considering.

Sure, it would be the default email client. We would just launch a URL "mailto:etc". At least that's how I envision it working.
