Dear All
I am getting the "Incorrect key file for table '.\opendental\procnote.MYI'; try to repair it" when trying to open the chart of certain patients and not all, any ideas why?

I am getting the "incorrect key file for table 'patient' try to repair it" message when I am trying to convert my ver 6 database to ver 7.9. It then stops the conversion. I have used database maintenance on it, but it still gets this error. When it says try to repair it, what else should I be doing to repair it other than database maintenance?
Thanks!

One cause of this might be if you made an incomplete backup and then restored it. Did you do anything like that?
Have you installed dot net 4.0?

I am not even sure what an incomplete backup is.... I think all backups were done from inside Open Dental. Is there a way to tell?
I do have .net 4.0

It sounds like it's time to get us involved in this. We would usually first look at your my.ini file
http://www.opendental.com/manual/myini.html
Then, we would get a copy of your database and analyze it on our end. We would try upgrading the database to a newer version of OD to see what your error message looks like. If you're able to not use OD while we work, then we could probably get the converted database back to you as 7.9, and away you go.
