Deposits

i don't know if i am right.
1.)i go to the accounts,collect the payment(using the payment tab)
2.)i click manage,click on deposits,add the deposit of above made payment and ok
3.)After this when i go back to accounts,the payment can still be edited.it should have been locked.
is my procedure wrong or there is a bug.
