Hello,

We're preparing to switch to OpenDental so I'm reviewing compatibility with our sensors and previously stored digital xray images. A few questions:

1) We're using EasyDental 2009 with "EasyImage" with our Shick USB sensors (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1073089/schick-sensor.jpg). Will these sensors work in OD? Reading other posts I understand we may need some sort of "bridge" which I presume is a 3rd party application to actually import the images. Where do we get this? Are these sensors compatible?

2) Will our existing xrays in EasyImage convert into OD 100%?

3) How long do conversations normally take from date files are sent to received back? How far out are these being scheduled?

4) Is this the best place to post these questions or is there a pre-sales department I can reach out to or is their a company support email? :)

Those are technical questions that our conversions department can answer. Just call and ask for conversions. I'm alerting them to this post as well.

Josh, I called schick and their hardware is only compatible with their products and with Dentrix Imaging, which is an integrated dentrix product and is perhaps what you are currently using some version of. They do have a twain driver that they said worked with their bitewing sensors, I am not super hopeful, but try http://www.schicktech.com/items.php?itemid=7879. We should try it because then you might be able to capture the images from directly inside OD.
