I am in the process of going chartless- and getting open dental- For new patients does open dental have a component in which patients can fill out health history before coming in? If not which online patient forms companies do you recomend. For the 2nd option, I am assuming if you have a website the patient can go your website and login and fill the forms and then the forms get integrated in open dental- can this happen now- or will the patient have to bring in the form and the staff will have scan the forms which is PITA. Thanks

MyPatientScheduler (http://MyPatientScheduler.com) has a new patient registration module that allows you to collect basic patient information. It can create the corresponding Open Dental patient record without requiring the frontdesk to manually type it in. New records can be created automatically, or by the frontdesk if you wish to review the information before accepting the new patient. To get a sense of what patient information is collected, you can use the MyPatientScheduler Live demo to create your own record (http://mypatientscheduler.com/j/demo).

If there is enough interest, a medical history collection module could be added.
