Displaying patient number in reports

Is there a way to make the patient number display in reports ?

For example, if I have 3 people named John Smith in my practice, and I run a report of outstanding insurance claims and John Smith shows up, I have to go into each John Smith until I find the right one.

This is not an issue in my own practice, but I also work at a rather large group practice and it is a real issue there. They just converted to OD about a month ago. They have SEVERAL cases where they have more than one patient with the same name, and going through each one is very time consuming and frustrating for the front desk.

Thanks,

Mike

That sounds very annoying, possibly bad enough to be called a bug. I just added and approved request #1216 and made it a very high priority.

Couldn't agree more! I've been meaning to request this for a long time, just never got around to it. My biggest problem is with the PatNum not showing on the aging report. I just voted for this, but looks like I'm the first one to do so.

That's OK. When it has the stars before the description, that's my way of keeping track of the very high priority fixes. I think that request is starred.
