Single Patient Statement

When printing a statement, since you get to choose "single patient" from the account to print the statement for, why can't the "amount due" at the top of the statement reflect only that patient's balance? It currently shows the whole family balance. Sometimes, if one member of the family has it's insurance claims all paid, I like to send a statement just for that member. It gives us an extra step to have to cross out the family balance and write in the single patient's balance. Is there a way to fix that?
