verifying backup, bug?

I just restored from a backup to my home computer to verify the backup and my custom views did not restore properly. I can view the custom views I setup in setup>appointment views, but they are not available from the drop down box in appointment view. Any ideas?
I haven't had to restore from my backup at the office (great software!) so hopefully it's never an issue, but wanted the coders to be informed of a possible bug.
