TO whom it may concern:
I was just wondering if Open Dental offers a training version of the software so someone like a hygienist could load it up on their home computer and learn the in's and out's of the software with a manual?? Dentrix offers this for fifty bucks I was sent a manual and a incomplete, meaning can't go online but can perform the functions of the software for training / learning purposes??? Anyone ? I mainly do temping and a lot of offices are using Open Dental now. Last thing I have time to do is waste time trying to figure out the steps in fully understanding and getting around in Open dental. It's not hard to do I realize that but there are certain areas I am just not proficient at which binds up time and every second counts as a hygienist staying on time with patients. I don't work with it every day since Dentrix old and new version are also in a lot of offices. So there are weeks I go without using Open dental and basically re familiarize with it gaining traction each time but I just want to learn it so I don't have to waste time figuring out each step to complete an appointment and provider etc. rescheduling, treatment planing, you know all that joyous stuff.
Is there a training version that employee's can take home to use?

It sounds like you are looking for the trial version:
https://www.opendental.com/site/trial.html
That should allow you to test out different aspects of the program safely.
