Briging with Sidexis - Sirona

Post by alhalwachi » Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:22 am

Hi everyone

I have Sidexis netXt Generation 2.4, how can I link it with OD?

I added a program link for it and set the parameter to 1 for chartnumber. I have an existing number in Sidexis with a chartnumber that matches the same for the same patient in OD but when I click on the link button, SidexIs is opened and a new patient file is created!

What am I missing? Any parameters I missed?

Kindly help

I just added a Sirona Sidexis page to our manual:
http://www.opendental.com/manual/bridgesirona.html

Make sure that the patient has a birthdate before you use the bridge, since Sidexis seems to use that to help identify patients.

Also, as with all bridges, a basic troubleshooting step is to launch Open Dental by right clicking, then Run as Admin. This can cause bridges to behave differently.

If you still have trouble with it, then call us, and we will help you.

Hi Jordan,
I am trying to connect OD with Sidexis using "Sirona Sidexis Bridge".
I am not able to find file sifiledb.ini. There is only one ini file called Sidiin_in.ini.

Do I need to create sifiledb.ini file and write File=F:\PDATA\siomin.sdx in the file?
Or this is a Sirona file?

Thank you in advance.

Not sure. It strongly implies that the ini file must already be present. If you can't find it, then you might need to get help from Sirona.
