I can't find the answer to this anywhere.
I've recently installed the full version of OD. Testing things out, when I select teeth that are missing in the missing teeth tab, the (can't remember the official name!) round thing disappears but the tooth graphic remains.
I can't work out what to change to fix this
Thanks
Missing teeth don't disappear
Re: Missing teeth don't disappear
That might be a bug in the simple tooth chart. Or maybe it's supposed to work that way. That round thingy is the surfaces (O,M,D.B,L)
But you should be using the DirectX (ideally) or OpenGL chart.
Go to File > Graphics and select DirectX tooth chart.
If you have problems getting it working, look here:

Go to File > Graphics > Use DirectX tooth chart
Click on the first row in the chart at the bottom of the window. Hit OK. If you get an error about incompatible DirectX no matter which row you select and hit OK on, you may need to install the DirectX SDK - I customized the install and did the DirectX runtime only and it worked.

Unfortunately I had to do this for each workstation with Open Dental installed.

Thanks. I got the Open GL chart to work but not the other one (which is fine by me)
