Maiden names?

Just wondering if there is someway to input maiden names?

Sometimes, women come in who have been married/divorced and we spend a while looking for a card/hard copy opg etc, under the wrong name

Also, is it possible to have childrens surnames different from either, or both parents? We have a couple of wards of the state, adoptees, etc.

It's definitely very easy to have children with different surnames; just type it in. We don't have a field yet for former names. Some offices use hyphenated names sometimes. Another workaround might be to leave a dummy patient in that family with the former name.
