Account Grid with Writeoffs

Post by drtech » Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:25 am

Overall, I am really liking the reworked account module. Works great for PPO esp and my favorite is viewing the entire family together.

I have one think I would like to change or else have an option in the viewing of writeoffs. Currently the ins payment and writeoff is added together for one credit. I would like to change (or include as an option if no one else likes this idea) to show these on two separate lines. 1st the payment and directly below that the writeoff amount. That would separate it when looking at the credits to the account. Physically it wouldn't take up any more room and would be clearer when looking at the actual credits column on the account.

It would be too hard to sort the rows in the correct order so that each writeoff shows directly under each procedure. It's impractical unless we move towards heirarchical entries in the Account module.

i didn't think about sorting...

what exactly does it mean to to move towards heirarchical entries? Each entry has a certain type or category or something?

I mean that eventually, a goal might be to allow nested entries under certain rows. Such as procedures nested under claims. That sort of thing. Right now they might be sorted, but they are not really nested like a tree.
