Mysql service

Post by ujjwal singh » Thu Nov 05, 2015 6:04 am

I have just installed the mysql to one of the system. mysql service is not listed under the computer management services therefore it never starts automatically when system boot up, everytime i have to start the mysqld from bin.

On the same computer mysql folder is located under c:/programfile/mysql but in other c:/mysql.

Please help.

Looks like something went wrong with the installation. I would uninstall MySQL, delete all program folders for MySQL, and reinstall it with the default settings. This is, of course, assuming you're using our trial installer to install MySQL.

Make sure to run our Trial Installer as an administrator because you may have run it as a user that does not have permissions to install services on the computer.

And uncheck the configuration wizard checkbox. That gets a lot of people.
