13.3 beta

Post by wjstarck » Thu Nov 07, 2013 9:27 am

Will this be closed for a period of time (I know you're doing a lot of EHR work right now) and then opened?

Correct. We're hoping to get key changes that we made in that version EHR certified but takes some time setting up testing dates. We wanted to start working out the bugs a little earlier which is why it came out before schedule.

It is now v13.3.6. Is it ok to test it in a production environment?

For EHR users, no. We're still trying to decide if 13.3 will even be released at all. Personally, I think it'll come out for use, but it might not be till late in December.

Yes, v13.3 is never going to be released to the public. v14.1 will be the next beta version. Our EHR test is Feb. 3rd and it should be released shortly before or afterwards. I'm assuming afterwards.

Well did OD pass the test?

The Version 13.3 page says that the version was for initial steps towards 2014 certification. Was this test for the complete 2014 certification or is there still more work to do as far as EHR goes?

We passed. Paperwork for certification is in progress so v14.1 is not yet a certified EHR but will be once all the paperwork has been reviewed by the higher ups (CMS and ONC). We are in the process of releasing v14.1 as a beta right now.

Alright everybody, put the pitchforks and torches away. A public beta (v14.1) has been released. Let the bug submissions begin.
