Payroll Module

Post by drtech » Mon Nov 09, 2009 11:51 am

anyone thought of trying to incorporate a payroll module into OD?

I am sick of paying quickbooks for updates when I don't use any features of quickbooks except for the payroll tax table service. I am wondering if I could manage (and how it is possible) to set up a tax table update service and EFT transfers for taxes and paychecks for emplyees and integrate with OD's time clock, etc.... This would make OD even more attractive for offices...

Thoughts anyone?

I think it is a great idea and shouldn't be too tough to do. The calculations are fairly simple. The only problem is you would have to do all 50 states (Illinois is a flat percentage don't know about others) or give the end user the ability to enter the correct figures. and What about those for other countries?

without some major work and people keeping up with all 50 states and local city taxes, I think you would just have to give the user a way to enter the IRS and state figures themselves....
