Appt Lists for inactive pts

Post by drtech » Sun Nov 09, 2008 12:47 pm

I am thinking of removing inactive pt's appts from the planned appt tracker and unscheduled list. Currently they show no matter if the pt is active, inactive, or archived. This sound ok?

This should not be done except as an optional checkbox. Especially for the unscheduled list which is intended to be kept very short.

ok, so to "inactivate" a pt, you currently have to delete any unscheduled appts if any are left and delete planned appts and then inactivate the pt. What is the reason for keeping all the appts showing if you are wanting to inactivate the pt anyway?

Well, there you have it. If you have to delete the unscheduled patients, then why do you want to filter them out? They can't exist anyway.

Yes, if you go to the trouble of deleting all the appointments then they won't show, but say you are setting a pt inactive in the family file. Just like they no longer show in the recall list and such, any remaining unscheduled or planned appointments should no longer show without having to manually go and remove these.
