HL7 windows service failure on computer reboot

Post by malay » Mon Jun 13, 2022 12:27 am

Hello.

My OD HL7 service won't start on computer reboot.

The pattern I see is in the windows event viewer is (ASC by timestamp):

Event 1.
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Event 2.
The MSSQLSERVER service failed to start due to the following error:
MSSQLSERVER is not a valid Win32 application.

Event 3.
The SQLSERVERAGENT service depends on the MSSQLSERVER service which failed to start because of the following error:
SQLSERVERAGENT is not a valid Win32 application.

Event 4.
The OpenDentHL7 service terminated with the following error:
An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Open Dental\OpenDentHL7.exe"

I don't know if event 2 and 3 are connected to OD in any way because OD uses MYSQL.

Please help me. Is it possible to put a delay when starting the service? Maybe network isn't ready when it tries to start?
