Conversion from ver 6.4 to ver 13.2

Post by starastar » Fri May 16, 2014 5:41 am

Dear all,
I am using an old version of OD version 6.4 which I bought from a reseller who has since winded up the business. This version is still being used by the clinic but It is taking more & more time to start up & the computer shows that it is not responding.
I like OD and am planning to upgrade to the latest version.

Do you think that I would face any upgrading issues with my database when I upgrade & are there any things that i can do.

Thanks in advance!

We do upgrades like this every day. There are several steps that need to happen in a very specific order otherwise your upgrade is going to take all day. I'd just set aside a good 3 - 4 hour block where no one will need to use Open Dental at which time you can call us up and we'll help you make the jump.

Upgrades are free if you're on support:

I highly recommend getting back on support if you aren't already because a lot has changed from v6.4 to v13+

We have "one time incident" fee(s) that are quite expensive for users not on support but these do not include software upgrades.
See the "Incident Support" section:
