I get the following error all the time, can someone tell me how to fix it:

When I click the chart module I get the following error, randomly, doesn't happen all the time:

"Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission, contact your system adminstrator, or use the Microsoft .NET Framework configuration tool.

IF you click Continue, the applicaiton will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit the application will close immediately."

Forgot to mention running window 8.1 pro

Have you tried running OD with admin powers? Right click, run as admin. Also right click, properties, security, add user to owners list or give user full access.

This error stems from your NewCrop (eRX) not being accessible and the error log not having sufficient permissions to log the incident.
Thanks for raising this up. We are working on facilitating another method of communicating between NewCrop and Open Dental that can bypass this permission issue.

Added to bug list with description "Chart electronic Rx refresh was failing with error when the windows user did not have permission to write to system Event Log." Fixed in versions 13.2.36 and 14.1.11(beta). Not yet released
