11.1 Appointment book print bug

Post by wjstarck » Mon Oct 03, 2011 9:46 am

There seems to be a bug with printing the appointment book view, unless I'm missing something. The new dialog pops up asking to set the appointment times, etc, but when it prints it prints 2 pages because the hour blocks are much larger than they were in the past. Changing the font size to '2' helps a little, but even then the last 1/2 hour of the day gets cut off...

Why would it be a bug to have it print 2 pages? It was obviously completely overhauled. I will look into how to get it all on one page.

At 5 minute increments, I can fit 19 hours onto a page with a font size of 2. Switching to 10 minute increments allows fitting twice as much on the page. So I'm completely confused by your claim that you can't fit it onto the page.

I'm not sure what to say then. We use 10 minute increments, and the appointment book has always printed on one page prior to 11.1

On the left was 11.0.x, on the right 11.1.x, which prints 2 pages.

That looks different than when we do it. We will try to duplicate on other computers.

OK, we duplicated it. It's because you are using 2 rows per increment. Switch to 1.

We are, however, going to reduce the margins and try to shrink the white space and title so that your last hour will hopefully fit.

This is a problem for us also. We use 15 minute increments and regardless of the font used the spacing per hour is the same.
That is, the distances between each hour, from 10:00 to 11:00, is standard, about an inch.
Is there a way to shrink this spacing with the decreasing of the font?

The spacing does scale depending on font. I don't understand. Maybe if you printed one with a small font and one with a bigger font, and then showed us what they looked like, that would help.

My Bad!
The row height does in fact scale with the font size. We were using too small of a change in fonts, 6 to 7, to notice the difference.
Also we tried it on a different printer and it works as advertized.
