Timeout in Database Integrity Check

Post by drawab » Fri Mar 11, 2011 9:49 pm

Hi

Today by coincidence I decided to do a Database Integrity Check to see if things were running smoothly was shocked to a see a huge list of problems - to an extent the popup dialog run beyond the screen and I could not locate <REPAIR> or <CANCEL> buttons, I assumed the cursor would be on default would be positioned at REPAIR and clicked Enter - after a few minutes it comes up with another popup

Code: Select all

TIMEOUT EXPIRED: The Timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding
Even having repeated the same a number of times I get the same error - any suggestions on what might be wrong

Thanks

Awab

You don't mean this, right?

You must be talking about the exe in the OpenDental folder? That's only used in emergencies when you can't get OD to open due to database corruption. I'm not sure what you saw. What version are you on? Instead, try the db maint as described in the link above.
