Flexibility of A-Z Folder Structure?

Post by Daniel Fielder » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:19 am

This may be a silly question, but I'm trying to unify the folder structure of Open Dental and Dr. View (by Fyitek Software) to avoid duplication of image assets. Dr. View needs panos and other photos to create various government required forms, and as such, stores these photos in an alphabetical patient folder structure. Open Dental, as you know, also stores photos and other images in an alphabetical patient folder structure, except that A-Z folders are created, with the patient folders underneath the respective folders.

Dr. View cannot be modified to look inside of A-Z folders for the patient folders - they have to be all at the same level. Does Open Dental support a configuration where the patient folders are not underneath the A-Z structure, and are instead at the root level of the images folder?

No, not yet. It would be a feature request.
