50% crown coverage, 0% core coverage ?

Post by mzrdmd » Tue Sep 04, 2007 9:41 am

I have a patient that has 50% insurance coverage for crowns, and that is coming up just fine in his tx plan. However, his cores are coming up as no coverage. He is not maxed out. The code I am using for the cores is D2950. It seems to work just fine for all of my other treatment plans. What gives ?

Thanks,

Mike

Well, you might go to this screen http://www.open-dent.com/manual/inscatssetup.html and make sure D2950 is included in the span for restorative, and not included in any other span. Then, look at your insplan % for restorative.
