Search from command prompt or external program

Hi,

I am looking an using a callid program that can pass the telephone number to opendental. Is it possible to call up the patient search box from another program with Opendental, preferably using a windows command. An example would be to pass an incomming phone number to a search command that would prompt you with the search window populated with matching patients ?

It would have to be a macro tool that simulates mouse and keyboard actions. Either that or a plug-in.
