Printing a progress note for one day

Post by atd » Wed Jun 11, 2008 1:42 pm

Is there way to print a progress note for just one day? We treat patients in nursing homes and have to leave a copy with nursing staff for their medical chart at the facility. I tried the right-click "Print Progress Notes..." function but it printed everything, not just what I had selected. Could a start and end date field be added to the "Show" tab (just like in the account module)? I think that might do the trick. We also don't want any charges to show up on the copy we give the facility, just the procedures and notes.

that's a great idea even for gp's...print selected dates to send off to specialists or for patients requesting records...

You could turn on the hospital features from the Easy Options setup. Then, you will be able to right click, print one day.

Thanks, I didn't know that was part of the Hospital features. One more question...
I tried right-clicking on the day I wanted and choosing "Print Day for Hospital" and it printed 4 lines for 3 different dates of service (not the one I chose) and didn't include any procedures, just e-mails and lab cases. All items are selected in the "Show" tab. How do you get it to print the day I want?

Thank you!

Sounds like a bug. That feature isn't used by very many people, so a bug probably crept in. I'll put it on the bug list. What version?

I tested it, and it seems to be working as expected. For me, it will only print procedures for one day. So I removed it from the bugs list because I could not duplicate the problem. You would have to call us so we can see the issue on your screen. We will probably need a copy of your database in order to duplicate it. Once we can duplicate it, it can be put back on the bug list and fixed.

I did more testing and found that if there are e-mails, lab cases or tasks in with the Progress Notes then it includes all of them no matter what date of service your printing for. If those things are not in the chart, then it works just fine. Can you try testing that?
