Would it be possible to someday add the option to create a referral button, like the Rx button, that would allow us to create a referral to a specialist, print it and have it entered into the patients chart, like we now have ability to choose premade prescriptions that can be altered, printed and then entered. It would be awesome to be able to do this!
Thanks
Referral Button?
Re: Referral Button?
Would be great if it was also linked to the procedures which have the referral status. Possibly could link tmultiple procedures to the referral the same way we can link multiple procedure which to an appointment. For example some teeth are treatment planned for extraction with the status referred. You would be able click on referral button where you can select whom it was referred to as an option in the referral information window, then you would be able to select from procedures which have the status = referred just like when making an appointment to attach theem to the referral.
When you received the letter that the procedure was completed you would be able to open the same referall and mark it completed by other dentist, which would in turn automatically change all the linked "referred' procedures status = completed by other provider.

Re: Referral Button?
We have specialists that work in our office. It would be nice to be able to hit the referral button and the procedure would be assigned to the specialist and at the same time the fee would change to that providers fee schedule. Sometimes you get a patient that needs to be referred to multiple other providers like the oral surgeon, and the endodontist. Currently, I have to look up the fee for the endo procedure and then look up the fee for the oral surg then override the fee in the treatment plan. It then becomes confusing at the front desk to figure out if the procedure should be scheduled with me or with the specialist. Which leads to multiple planned appt. - this appt is planned for me, that appt is planned for the endo, and the other planned appt is for the oral surg.
