Payments going in as Prepayments and No Provider

I pay my associates based on collections and we found that at times, patient payments for their portions are not being split properly automatically and ends up as "No Provider". We are attaching the payments to the correct procedures but it's like it is estimating that the insurance company will be paying more so it only allocates a small part of the payment to the providers and the rest goes as "no provider" and is listed as Prepayment for some reason. Any way for me to avoid this because I don't want to have to manually allocated the income for every single patient at the end of the month!
